Holiday Snaps Highlights Worn Out Townscapes

I had supper with some relatives recently after their return from a short cruise to Spain and Portugal.  They were full of tales of where they’d gone on the day excursions ashore – we had a quick run through some really lovely pictures and I noted there were many of the local houses, buildings of great age and heritage.  We didn’t see that much in the way of housing estates – do they not have any such things overseas?  However, flats in apartment blocks are often rented because of the coplexity of conveyancing matters on blocks.  Back to the holiday snaps – when I looked more closely, the places were actually really run down.   the coloured fascades of the town square were pretty to look at but the doorways looked seriously worn out – wood and plaster cracked and in need of much love and attention.  I actually longed for the newness and comfort of a well built estate house!
