Riotous Behaviour Dents House Sale Hopes
Trying to sell a property during a period of civil unrest and rioting in vaious parts of the UK is a definite problem. Unfortunately we were trying to sell our house at such a time to move southeastly to live near family. Needless to say, we had to take the house off the market at that time, not wanting dubious activity putting punters off or put myself at risk of having anyone look round who wasn’t a properly interested party.
It took a while for the housing market to pick up and so we just sat tight, looking after our little house and making sure we repaired every shabby looking window sill or bit of mortar. We checked out the guttering and downpipes – had them repainted too. We tidied up the garden even more than before and really did our best to get the building, interior and garden of our first purchased home as neat and inviting as possible. It worked and we sold quickly.
