Small Terrace Offered No Room To Expand
When we think of our own homes, it’s easy to overlook the poor design elements of some rooms. I remember well the first place I was able to buy – victorian mid terrace of three. The place was cold and always smelt grim, though damp wasn’t evident apparently. So glad about that – we were so nervous when the mortgage surveyor was going to visit. We had visions of them turning us down flat. Frm memory all we had to do was arrange for the guttering to be fixed and a downpipe replaced at the back of the house. This was sorted before we moved in and after that we ensured the gutters, fascias and soffits were kept in good order, in case it stopped anyone else getting a mortgage when we sold on. We loved that little house, but soon outgrew it and that was with only a cat and no children.
