Taking Time To Find The Right House

I’ve been watching developments next door with great interest.  The family moved in nearly 30 months ago,  having rented a family house in a tiny village placed conveniently near the best state school in the part of the county.  This was a clever action as it gave them plenty of time to look around the area allowing their children to keep their highly coveted school  places.   There are many houses on the market at the moment – due entirely to the Chancellor’s grand plan to stimulate business by holding a stamp duty holiday and reducing this tax substantially for almost all buyers.  It’s good to see movement in the housing market – it means that folk are more positive about their futures and the constant doom and gloom portrayed in the press is just an irritating habit of the journalists to grab our flagging attention!   These neighbours are now having their house extended by building out across the back of the house to incorporate a larger ‘living’ kitchen – so much in vogue amongst growing families these days.
